Say Hello to the Woodland Baby Blanket!
When a friend told me she was going with a woodland theme for her baby’s nursery, I was totally on board. If you couldn’t tell, I love woodsy vibes!

When I set out to create the Woodland Baby Blanket pattern, I knew I wanted to create a baby blanket that was completely gender neutral, modern, yet super cozy and just a little bit rustic. I used this 100% merino wool, which has a beautiful heather color and that I knew would get softer and softer with each wash.
When I was choosing a stitch, I wanted something full of texture and I combined it with a simple border that adds the perfect finishing touch to this blanket!

The Details
The Woodland Baby Blanket brings the essence of the outdoors together with a classic, neutral blanket design. Using a superfine merino wool, this blanket is soft, cozy, and has a texture that’s just meant to be in a woodland nursery. The best part is this pattern uses worsted weight yarn, so you can easily swap merino for your favorite baby blanket yarn whether it’s cotton, acrylic, or a wool blend!
This pattern includes techniques that will challenge a beginner crocheter to learn new skills. It’s perfect for the confident beginner or intermediate crocheter looking for just the right pattern. After a few rows, you’ll be cruising along and enjoying the easy repeats in this pattern!
This pattern includes a stitch diagram to aid the written instructions, so if you’re a visual person, it’s even easier to get the hang of the pattern! You’ll also find this pattern includes the stitch multiples, so you can easily modify the size of your blanket as you like!
Last thing – While I loooooved the Knit Picks yarn I chose to use for this pattern, don’t worry too much about using the exact same one! You can easily substitute your favorite worsted weight yarn for this pattern. Just keep in mind you’ll need about 1,400 yards for this one!
