Super Natural Yarn
While this yarn isn’t technically *supernatural* it might as well have super powers. This yarn is called Simply Alpaca Aran and it’s 100% alpaca yarn. Not only is this a natural fiber, but it’s made without any dyes or bleach, so it comes in gorgeous neutral shades that are as soft and beautiful as the alpacas themselves.
If you’re not familiar with alpaca, it’s warm and cozy, without the itchiness of wool. The soft drape of this yarn creates a relaxed infinity scarf that gently folds around your neck, which looks beautiful with these thin stripes! This pattern uses two skeins of Simply Alpaca Aran (1 skein of each color).

Want to use something from your stash?
You’ll need about 500 yards of heavy worsted weight yarn (250 yards of each color). This pattern can be easily adapted for DK, worsted, or aran weight yarn too!
Don’t forget these tools!
You’ll also want to make sure you’ve got a 5mm crochet hook handy. I used my Furls Camwood hook for this project and it’s so comfortable and nice to crochet with.
Keep in mind that Simply Alpaca Aran comes in a hank. Before using yarn in a hank, you’ll need to wind it by hand into a ball, or use a ball winder and swift to wind it into a cake before using it. I’ve been using the same ball winder and swift for years and it makes this process super fast and easy!
