Want to know what’s in my bag? These are a few of my all-time favorites that I take with me wherever I go.
Gingher Emroidery Scissors
When Austin ordered these scissors last year, I nearly lost it – “Eighteen dollar scissors?! Regular ones work just fine!” Boy, was I wrong. These scissors are my all-time favorite for many reasons. At 4 inches, they are compact enough to fit into any bag, insanely sharp, and my favorite perk is that they come with a leather sheath so you won’t have to worry about them getting damaged (or them poking a hole in your project bag)! These work great for everything from snipping ends to shaping pompoms.
For as long as I can remember, my grandma and mom have used Gingher scissors for sewing. They keep their scissors in their original boxes, and never, ever let them touch paper. They’ve both used the same pair for 20+ years and they’re still pristine. Trust me guys, a good pair of scissors will change your life, and my only regret is not buying these sooner!
ChiaoGoo Hooks
If I could only use one type of hook for the rest of my life, it would be my bamboo ChiaoGoo hooks. These are gorgeous, lightweight, sleek, comfortable, and inexpensive. I typically buy mine from my local yarn store, but I recently learned that I can grab other sizes over on Amazon! I own these in all the classic sizes and am stocking up on the sizes that can sometimes be difficult to find – like 17mm, 19mm, and 22mm sizes!
If you’re curious about the hook shape, these are considered in-line hooks (which is similar to the style of Susan Bates crochet hooks).
Tool Bags
These bags are literally tool bags, so you know they’re sturdy – but I can’t tell you how cute they are too! The colors are earthy and chic and perfect for adding your favorite pins. Regardless of which bag I use to throw my yarn in, it’s so easy to throw in one of these zipper pouches and know that all my tools are safe inside and won’t be falling out of my yarn bag.
Pins
My Sip and Stitch pin is one of my favorites and is designed by one of my dear friends! This pin is so classic, it adds a touch of elegance to anything and is a constant staple on my bag.
